Change the VirtueMart Email Account

Sometimes you want to change which email account receives the order emails in VirtueMart. You can change this yourself. It’s sometimes not easy to know where to do it though.

Here are some instructions for updating the store admin email address (Joomla 1.5.x Version of VirtueMart – for others, see below):

Step 1: Login to the Joomla CMS Administrative Panel.

Step 2: Navigate to Components > Virtuemart through the top menus or click on the main “VirtueMart” button if there is one.

Step 3: On the left side navigation, go to Store > Edit Store.

Step 4: On the “Edit Store” page, update the field with the label “Email:” under the heading “Contact Information.

Step 5: Click on the Save button on the top right.

For More Recent Versions of VirtueMart (Joomla 2.5.x and Joomla 3.x versions):

Step 1: Login to the Joomla CMS Administrative Panel.

Step 2: Navigate to Components > Virtuemart through the top menus or click on the main “VirtueMart” button if there is one.

Step 3: On the left side navigation, go to Shop > Shop

Step 4: On the “Shop” page, update the field with the label “Email:” under the heading “Additional Information.”
